I have designed a movie app for my blog that will allow you to search any movie. Users will be able to watch trailers to movies and read the plots of movies they are interested in. Users will also be able to read reviews about the movies that other users have posted, as well as read the review I have made for my blog.
This app will create a place for my community and other people that may become interested in my blog. Users will be able share their opinions and thoughts about different movies, and have discussions with me and other users about why they may have liked or disliked certain movies.
This app is the next big step to expanding my blog and its community and I will be excited to create and improve it in the future.
The New Mutants is about five teenage mutants that undergo treatments at a secret institution. All the mutants have dangerous powers and unintentional blood on their hands and are under supervision until they learn to control their dangerous powers. The teens are trapped in the institution and invited by Dr. Cecilia Reyes to share their stories, their memories soon turn into terrifying realities as they start to question why they’re being held and who’s trying to destroy them. Dani Moonstar doesn’t yet know what her mutant powers are, and she is considered a danger to others. As Dani struggles to figure out what she can or can’t do, while romantically bonding with Rahne Sinclair, the teens begin to experience terrifying visions linked to their own respective traumas. But all is not as it seems.
The film takes place within X-Men world, but the randomness in the franchise negates much interconnectivity. There’s only a few verbal references to the X-Men and a slight reference to Charles Xavier. This makes the film seem like a spin-off that just happens to take place in an existing universe, rather than a continuation of the X-Men franchise.
The movie feels way too forced and does not seem necessary to watch in order to understand anything that will be happening in the X-Men’s franchises future. The movie fails to commit to being a fantasy or a horror movie, or a teen melodrama. Instead it offers components of all three and it just makes it a huge failure. Overall I don’t recommend seeing the movie, and it’s nothing to be excited for.
My Hero Academia has become increasingly popular over the years, and I had never gotten myself to watch it until recently. The My Hero Academia world is one where many people are born with unique powers known as “Quirks.” People with useful or powerful Quirks can use these powers to one day become superheroes. Izuku Midoriya, the main protagonist, has aspirations to one day become a hero, but he was born without a Quirk. The anime follows Midoriya’s journey of trying to become a great Hero. The story is simple and straightforward, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
The pacing of the story in My Hero Academia is where I tend to have problems with the series. Villains are built up and defeated way to quickly in the series, and you don’t really learn much about them. One episode a new villain is introduced and the next episode they are defeated, and Midoriya and his classmates are back to normal life. The fights we do see may not last long, but they are beautifully animated and put together with extraordinary soundtracks that give the listener goosebumps.
Overall I think My Hero Academia deserves the hype that it has been getting lately, and it will most likely become even more popular and remembered as time goes on. If you haven’t watched My Hero Academia I recommend catching up on it so you can be excited for the seasons to come.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is the sequel to 2006’s hit Borat. The iconic character created and played by Sacha Baron Cohen is back. Amazon announced the new film was ready roughly a month ago, but fans were worried that the sequel wouldn’t be able to live up to the classic original, and sadly I don’t think it did.
The movie follows Borat and his 15-year-old daughter as they travel to America after Borat was released from prison for bringing shame to his country, Kazakh funnyman Borat risks life and limb as he goes on a mission to make a delivery to President Donald Trump in an attempt to redeem his nation.
The plot is extremely unique, and the movie was fantastic, yet Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is nowhere near as hilarious as the first film. Anyone who watches the movie is sure to get some laughs and be in disbelief at some of the things done and said in the movie. The only problem I had was you can usually guess what is going to happen, and that wasn’t the case with the original film. You might not want to re-watch Borat Subsequent Moviefilm it in a couple years’ time, and it probably won’t age as well as the original due to the political presence within the movie, but you should definitely go give it a try now.
Fans are now able to watch Sacha Baron Cohen’s eagerly-awaited sequel on Amazon Prime Video.
One of my favorite movies blogs that grew up watching is called Screen Rant. Screen Rant is an online entertainment news website which was launched in 2003. The site offers news in the field of television, films, video games and film theories. I mainly discovered and started watching and reading their content because of their activity on YouTube. They have many interesting and entertaining reviews, theories, facts and just wacky videos and articles. Personally, I just love how much content they put out, it just always gives you something to read or listen to.
On their YouTube channel they have over 7 million subscribers and post multiple videos a day on a wide variety of topics. This gives multiple audiences something to watch and be entertained by. There’s just so much quality content to take in.
On their website they have news about upcoming movies and reviews on already released movies. They even do interviews with some actors and celebrities. The website is user friendly and the articles are very well written.
If you enjoy movies and TV I definitely recommend checking out Screen Rant. You’ll always have quality content to entertain yourself with and you’ll get good reviews on movies you might be interested in.
When I first watched the trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog with the original design I knew instantly it was going to be a disaster. It looked horrible, as if something from your worst nightmare materialized itself and put on a fur suit. It wasn’t just me, but the entire internet seemed to be on the same page as me. Due to this backlash, Paramount decided to delay the movie and work to redesign Sonic.
Several months later the Sonic the Hedgehog movie was in theaters with the new design, and it was a big improvement from the original. The decision to redesign Sonic literally saved the movie, and the movie itself actually turned out to be really good. It’s a fun family friendly movie clearly made for a younger audience, but what if the original design was used with these kid friendly jokes and interactions? For me personally, I think it may have ended up feeling pretty disturbing.
After watching this kid friendly movie and then trying to imagine what it would have been like with the original design, the only thing I can picture is a very awkward and cringe interaction between the actors and Sonic in the movie. The playful and entertaining Sonic they created did not fit with the original design at all. It just would not have worked.
For anyone that watches the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, I challenge you to try and imagine the same scenes with the original design and not be weirded out. Even if the original design was kept I think I still would have gone and seen the movie. I would literally pay again to see the movie with the original design just so I can see how big of a disaster it would have turned out to be, but sadly I don’t think that will ever happen.
During quarantine I have had a lot time to catch up and watch a lot of my favorite television series. I’m a huge fan of anything involving The Walking Dead or even just anything zombie related, so it was a perfect time for me to really catch up with AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead. I will try not to spoil much, but here is the good and the bad of season 5.
Now even before I started watching season 5 of Fear The Walking Dead, I had heard many bad things about the direction the series had gone, and that fans just do not enjoy it anymore. Personally, I did not think it was all that bad, but it did have its flaws. Let us start with the bad. First off, we suddenly start off with no idea what is happening, the cast was on a plane that they were in the middle of crashing, heading to find a random person that apparently needed help. Also, a lot of the characters defiantly started acting way off from what they were before. For example, why would the characters suddenly risk their lives for random people when strangers literally just tried killing them. There needed to be more character development and reasoning for actions. This was my major problem with season 5, the reasoning behind why everything was happening.
Now the good is I found the season to be really entertaining and go at a nice pace. It was unique compared to anything else Fear The Walking Dead has done. From flying a plane, to radioactive zombies, and even having another crossover from The Walking Dead. It was a very fun ride, but it could get to a point of being too repetitive. Just the mission of the cast of constantly wanting to help and force themselves on people could get very annoying. People like seeing zombie fights, and good guys versus bad guys, even if that seems basic. That said though, it was a nice change and could lead to interesting character development that might cause conflict in the future.
Overall, I think people are overreacting on how bad it was. I found it interesting and enjoyable. If you are hesitating on watching it because of bad reviews, then I recommended giving it a watch. You might be surprised on how action packed and interesting the season really is.
Onward is definitely a unique story and is not what you would expect it to be. It messes with the idea of being able to bring back a loved one that has passed away, even if it is just for a day. Looking at the animated movie you just think heartwarming and fun adventure, but it definitely has a very sad tone that can make you cry.
The basic plot is two teenage brothers go on a quest to spend one more day with their father that has passed away. Their mother gives them a staff left by their father and that leads them on a very face passed adventure. They go on a series of endless fetch quests, and you barely even seem to catch your breath. There are only a few moments for the characters to actually develop and talk, which is what can turn you away from liking the movie. Eventually the mom finds out her sons are missing, even though she basically started this by giving them a magical staff, and she teams up with a manticore, a lion like mythical creature, to bring her sons back home. There is even a very intense battle closer to the end involving the manticore and a dragon!
Overall, the movie is exactly what you can expect from Pixar, a thrilling, emotional, and heart-warming adventure that has a fun and entertaining plot, that is very appropriate for the kids. The movie has a good message involving having a strong bond between brothers, and even how to deal with losing loved ones. Really enjoyed the movie, and I definitely recommend taking your kids to see the movie, or even watching it yourself.
We all have much more free time right now because of the coronavirus pandemic we are currently facing. I think we all know what that means, a lot more time to watch our favorite movies and tv shows. While sitting around with nothing to do you may just find yourself thinking back on different movies you have watched in the past, and you suddenly just get the urge to watch the movie again. Well this has happened to me a couple times recently. I found an older movie that I almost didn’t even remember, and I had forgot how much I enjoyed it. This movie is none other than Bicentennial Man starring Robin Williams.
Overall, this movie is a very heartwarming film and it gives us a great message about humanity and freedom. The film tells us the story of a robot named Andrew (NDR14) played by Robin Williams. This sentient robot learns how to laugh, create and love. The film shows Andrew’s 200-year long journey to eventually become a real man who can feel, taste and even age. When he finally becomes a real man with flesh, he ends up falling in love with his master’s great granddaughter named Portia Charney, and he wants to be with her. His journey does not end there though, because Andrew wants to be considered more then just a robot. He seeks freedom and wants to be considered a real man. This lifetime challenge ends up following him to his death bed, but in the end the world finally considered him a real human being.
Surprisingly this movie does not have good reviews and even bombed in the box office in 1999. I believe it is a very underrated movie that teaches what it means to be human. We all are on our own journey and deserve to live our lives how we choose to. This is a good lesson to take in while we have some free time to breath and reflect on our lives while we are at home during this pandemic. In the end this movie tells us to find who we are and that we should do everything we can to make the most out of our lives and be happy with ourselves.
My name is Cory Dworaczyk and this is my blog about movies, TV, anime and more! I really enjoy watching all types of different movies and shows in my spare time. I grew up enjoying this form of entertainment with my family and siblings. I looked forward to watching cartoons and anime on the weekend with my brother, and we still enjoy talking about different movies and shows we discover today. I think it will be fun to share my opinions and give reviews about the different things I enjoy watching to a wider audience.
In my blogs I will review different movies, TV shows and anime that I stumble upon and find interesting. These reviews may include movies that have recently been released or shows that are currently releasing new episodes. I may also find older movies and shows that I find interesting and compare then to newer releases, such as comparing older versions of cartoon characters to newly designed ones.
Some of my blog posts might even get a little wackier. Like what types of foods and emotions make certain viewing experiences better. When is a good time to watch a certain TV show, maybe during a rainy day? Sometimes I might get a little more serious and find certain movies or anime that just has a good message. Maybe a certain TV show relates to real world issues that have become a big topic in present day.
Anyone who likes movies, TV and anime and want to be more informed and entertained then this blog may interest you. From wacky to serious posts and reviews if you enjoy these forms of entertainment then we’ll get along just fine. In the future I hope to expand this blog to include other topics related to this type of entertainment and get more in touch through social media, but for now enjoy.
