Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is the sequel to 2006’s hit Borat. The iconic character created and played by Sacha Baron Cohen is back. Amazon announced the new film was ready roughly a month ago, but fans were worried that the sequel wouldn’t be able to live up to the classic original, and sadly I don’t think it did.
The movie follows Borat and his 15-year-old daughter as they travel to America after Borat was released from prison for bringing shame to his country, Kazakh funnyman Borat risks life and limb as he goes on a mission to make a delivery to President Donald Trump in an attempt to redeem his nation.
The plot is extremely unique, and the movie was fantastic, yet Borat Subsequent Moviefilm is nowhere near as hilarious as the first film. Anyone who watches the movie is sure to get some laughs and be in disbelief at some of the things done and said in the movie. The only problem I had was you can usually guess what is going to happen, and that wasn’t the case with the original film. You might not want to re-watch Borat Subsequent Moviefilm it in a couple years’ time, and it probably won’t age as well as the original due to the political presence within the movie, but you should definitely go give it a try now.
